Great, very atmospheric beach in north Cornwall... Duckpool beach. Time at the end of the day, tide going in very quickly and wind blowing. Lifeguards nearby just about to finish their working day. 

Part of my series of Little people

This painting is sort of special to me. It has it's own story. It is of Goodrington sands in Devon, with it's red cliffs. As I was painting it, the sea was coming in quickly, eventually splashing on my feet so I had to finish the painting and escape :) The wind was quite strong as well, therefore if you look closer, you will see tiny speck of sand in some areas. They were impossible to get out of the wet paint so I was thinking I would not sell this painting. But then again, doesn't it just make the painting more authentic? 

It was fun painting it though and if you look at "me at work" photo you will see me working on it. I even had a steam train with people waving at me going past nearby :)
